Dissected a frong in Anatomy & Physiology lab today. The poor frog. It knew when it was being sliced up as it was struggling on the wax trsy even though we chlorofomed it.. It was pretty scary especially when it SUDDENLY SQUIRMED and KICKED its legs, EVEN AFTER we had its heart cut out like 5 minutes?? makes you wonder, is it dead yet? its eyes were still blinking when its heart was cut... ouch.. Apparently it sill was alive! the chloroform was wearing out on it when we were halfway through the procedure. We jumped! and had a rude shock! we screamed it was hilarious! adrenalin rush manx! haax. It was no funny matter that we killed the frog, but we acknowledged that we killed the frog in the name of science. Really freaked out when the frog kicked and squirmed on the wax tray. It WAS REALLY freaky! But elangovan very clamly pressed on the frog's internal organs till it passed out again.. It happened quite a few times.. the body quirming and leg kicking thing.. like 3 or 4.. until like ten minutes it was officially really dead.. exxcept for a few muscle spasms in the thighs... like when we were spilling the guts out, it was squirming in pain.. poor frog. But fascinating nonetheless.
