2046
i watched 2046 last saturday and i really liked it` though the negative comments at the end by my mates adn the entire theater kinda dampened the mood but i thought it was a good show anyway.. it was a little draggy though`
i liked the way it was filmed, really brillant. every scene, every angle, so precise.. such a wonderful way the world is being looked at..
the movie made me think about life itself.. like what it meant to love and be loved. the complications when one full heartedly loves someone.. it never really ends somewhere. its like a continuous cycle.. everyone in that movie had a story to tell.. stories that we can relate to.. that we hear from our friends, siblings, and also, what we ourselves experienced.. love lost, love requited, love gained, love unrequited... trying to bury the past but really can't let go..
fate. divine intervention..
had he met her any earlier, later.. things would have been so different.. would one be faithful all his or her life.. is there really ever "together forever" will everyone ever change.. of course we do.. our outlook, our views, beliefs, how we view human reactions.. nothing can ever be planned or anticipated.. so.. fragile.. i'm probably just a cynic. to me, nothing lasts forever.. so, enjoy the moment, while it lasts..
interestingly, the movie 2046, year 2046, would be when hong kong is returned to china for 50 years.. in this 50 years, it is promised htat nothing will change in hk.. that's why 2046 was chosen and inspired by hk director wong kar wai.. of course the brain-child of the movie itself.. that in 50 years, what were stories that came along with it..
love... all we need is love.
